MANHASSET, NEW YORK, OCTOBER 18, 2018 Leslie Ann Burleson, M.S., M.A.T. of White Lake, Michigan has been honored as a Woman of Distinction for the third quarter of 2018 by P.O.W.E.R. (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) for her outstanding achievements and high level of success in the field of education. Each quarter we choose four women for our distinction award. These four noteworthy women deserve recognition for their exceptional accomplishments. They go the extra mile to achieve results and create a significant impact in their chosen profession.
ABOUT LESLIE ANN BURLESON, M.S., M.A.T.
Leslie Ann Burleson has 18 years experience in the education field. She is a Teacher at Wayne County Community College in White Lake, Michigan. It is a community college district with its headquarters in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. It was founded in 1967. The College has six campuses: Eastern, Downtown, Downriver, Northwest, Western, and University Square. Ms. Burleson teaches science and mathematics. Previously, she served as the Chair of the Science Department at Wayne State College.
Leslie Ann obtained a M.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics from Wayne State University in 1995. She also has a Masters of Art in Teaching. She is Vice President of the Michigan Educator’s Council. In her spare time she enjoys swimming and boating.
