CONNECT WITH US

I am so proud of my organization, P.O.W.E.R., and P.O.W.E.R. Magazine which are filled with empowering and inspiring women. It is not easy trying to balance it all and women deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments.  I have become a better person because of the professionals I have had the pleasure of interviewing, reading about and highlighting.

Each quarter, P.O.W.E.R. Magazine showcases biographies of celebrities and everyday hard working women who strive to do their best and make a difference. Through my Tonia’s Talk, I highlight common threads we share as well as the uniqueness that makes us who we are. I hope you enjoy reading Tonia’s Talk and each issue of our magazine.

In my Tonia’s Talk, I offer some easy-to-follow advice to get you on your way to achieving your dreams.

Whatever goals you set, who and what you know can make a big impact on your success. As we approach the Fourth of July, P.O.W.E.R. Magazine reflects on independence and how we define it.
For women, it has taken on a whole new meaning in recent years. Women have become more and
more independent, both in their personal and professional lives, breaking down barriers and shattering
glass ceilings.

have achieved greatness in their respective fields. This summer issue’s cover girl, Captain Sandy Yawn

their way in a man’s world.  As the captain of a superyacht, she has shown that women can excel in any

host of “Inside Edition”; Dr. Robi Ludwig, renowned psychotherapist and author; dynamic corporate

Fall is here and it is time to get back to our hectic routines.  The responsibilities that fall on women can sometimes seem insurmountable, but the incredibly driven ladies featured in the fall issue of P.O.W.E.R. show us that it is possible to achieve balance between our professional and personal lives.  P.O.W.E.R.’s fall cover girl Garcelle Beauvais, along with Nkeki Obi-Melekwe, Carrie Preston, Julie Ann Emery, and Amber Dawn Orton each come from different backgrounds and have different family obligations, but all successfully juggle the work/home life challenge.  They are a testament to the fact that women are capable of doing anything they set their minds to.

Accomplishing goals is important, but success is nothing without health.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and each fall P.O.W.E.R. publishes a comprehensive resource guide for cancer patients and their families.  If you have cancer and need help, or know someone who needs assistance, check out the special two page spread in this issue.  The guide offers information about transportation, lodging, cleaning, prescription drug assistance, wigs and head coverings, and many other valuable services.

you feel good, and perform at your best. The women featured in the summer issue of P.O.W.E.R.

Tonia's Talk Spring 2022

“Giving back” is the common thread connecting all the talented women featured in P.O.W.E.R. While small acts of kindness go a long way, so do good recommendations!  If you want to know what’s hot this season, then check out “Tonia’s Trends,” a fun new addition to P.O.W.E.R magazine.  Find out what fashion, food and wellness trends make Editor-in-chief Tonia DeCosimo’s list and why you should try them too!
